The ECIS Locomotive Manager (LM) provides all functions necessary to manage a locomotive fleet.  This includes operating hours, locations, proximity to the nearest locomotive service facility, maintenance requirements, and maintenance history.

The LM can interface directly with payroll and personnel systems and with field personnel using mobile or fixed computing equipment which can support an internet browser.

As systems such as this are highly customizable, the first step is to outline the goals for the system, define any system interfaces, determine the types and layouts of forms and reports, and define the users and their access points.

Once this is accomplished, the LM is then configured to meet those requirements.
