announces the release of the ECIS Traffic Manager

The wait is over for a robust, cost-effective traffic control system
for the rail and transit industry.
Railware has been providing support, maintenance,
and custom software development for its traffic control system customers
for over five years. Now, through a new licensing agreement, Railware
is able to bring this rail-hardened software to market.
Railware is please to announce the release
of the ECIS Traffic Manager.
Railware is
developing an integrated suite of products for the rail industry.
This suite of products will provide the industry a fully integrated Enterprise
Control and Information System (ECIS). ECIS
may be implemented as a complete system, as stand-alone components, or
as enhancements to an existing system, where necessary data can be transmitted
and/or received from that system.
Traffic Manager is based upon time-proven
software that has an in-service history of over five years managing the
second busiest commuter railroad in the United States, the busiest freight
terminal railroad in the United States, and over 22,000 miles of interstate
freight railroad.
Traffic Manager provides those functions necessary to
directly manage rail traffic on either signaled or dark territories.
The Traffic Manager is configurable and only required those functions that
are required to support the operations of the railway. These functions
include:
Immediately available:
- Centralized Traffic Control (CTC)
- Track and Time Blocking
- Switch Blocking
- Signal Blocking
- Train ID Tracking
- Train Schedules
- All types of operational equipment (i.e., snow blowers, maintainer
call, etc.)
Soon to be released:
- Track Warrant
- Trainshee
- WYSIWYG Track Database Generation
Traffic Manager was developed for server-class computers
which provide 99.999% availability but will operate just as smoothly on
other classes of computers should this level of reliability is not required.
Traffic Manager is compatible with the latest Microsoft
Windows operating systems including Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and

of configurations providing precise functionality and pricing to meet any
customer's functional requirements and budget.
