Railware, Inc. has been selected by the MTA - Metro North Railroad to provide custom software design and development services for their Operations Control Center. Major project elements include the complete and significant software upgrades of their systems, which control train operations on the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven lines.

As the prime contractor for this project, Railware will be working directly with MNR through the design and development phases of this project and will be providing system level integration test plans, commissioning test plans, and technical support through all phases of the testing and commissioning process.

"The most challenging aspects of this project will be the management of the testing process to ensure the high levels of on-time service maintained by Metro-North are not affected and ensuring that the overall project schedule is preserved to ensure coordination with other key projects which depend upon the control center functionality," said Jay Walser, Railware's Vice President - Operations.

Metro North Railroad operates over 775 miles of track and provides high levels of on-time service to over 250,000 passengers daily.

Railware provides state-of-the art software solutions to the transportation industry, specializing in the development and implementation of control and operations management system software.
